Biting Off More Than I Can Chew

I have definitely bitten off more than I can chew!  Life has a way of sneaking up on you like that.  Throw in some crazy ideas to redo your floors, paint the walls, and you'll end up just like me in Crazyville or at the chiropractor!

We are still working on the floor.  It is going well, just longer than expected.  I watched so many videos on how to lay tile, it looked like a snap.  I often forget we are trying to lay the new floor, paint the walls, etc in between getting our M-F job done and taking care of The Compound and chickens.  And the work is physically hard, working on your knees, and getting up and down.  Needless to say, the Moose and I are starting to feel the effects of our age. I think my family that has generously volunteered to help are over it all too!  They may not answer the phone next time I call!

With that said, the tiles are all down in the main living areas.  We've opted to extend the tiles in a first floor bedroom and make that our new office space.  That will come later.  We are determined to get these first areas completed.  Right now, we are waiting for time to grout.  We have the first coat of sealer down, and the tiles are ready.  We're not...  We have a big workload this week, and our community yard sale on Saturday.  Then it's off to The Compound on Sunday to mow and care for all the chickens.  I guess the grout work will get put on to next weeks workload..

    1. Thank you, and yes it's huge. I know we'll be happy when it's all over and we can sit back and enjoy the view.

  2. Looks good ! Now you can appreciate what I do for a living lol. The only easy part of laying tile would that of viewing a job well done after the work is done.
