It's not that they didn't raise enough money, or get govt support. I have a good friend who lives there, and it is an attitude they have about everything. They are OK in squaler as long as they get their free cheese!Izzyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07750628123685151713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-47500309065585679.post-30955292197400946922012-11-02T18:37:07.574-04:002012-11-02T18:37:07.574-04:00Only time will tell. I am much more prepared (I think) than 95% of the people I know and I am giving the other 5% the benefit of the doubt because we live on an island however this island is only a 20 minute drive and a 15 minute ferry ride from Seattle and has several stores so people here have that city mentality that they would just go to the store. The other two islands that I lived on were not like that because they were either without a store and dependent on a ferry to get to one or with a small store with a 45 minute ferry ride so a lot more isolated. My concern is how do you deal with those people personally when they are hungry, cold, and desperate. Even the government can't get supplies to them or manufacture shelter out of thin air. It takes time. This will surely eventually bite Obama in the butt even though he has committed to getting help to those people and if time allows the republicans will start flailing him with that.I would like to see what they would do since Bush didn't do a heck of a lot with Katrina. They are still with out down there. sistahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09568280906820691641noreply@blogger.com
